Transfer Application Steps
To apply for admission as a transfer student at Mizzou, follow these steps. Have questions? Select “I am a transfer student” on our rep finder page to get connected with a transfer coordinator.
After reviewing our transfer admission requirements, complete our online application and pay the application fee. Mizzou has a rolling admissions process, which means you can receive a decision as early as two weeks after you’ve submitted all your application materials. You can choose to submit test scores or complete a test-optional application. Find more details about test-optional admission below.
Our transfer course equivalency site helps you see which of your credits will transfer to Mizzou. Course equivalencies are available for most colleges and universities in Missouri and select out-of-state institutions.
If your current school is not listed in our equivalencies site, Transferology can give you an idea of how your courses will apply toward a degree at Mizzou.

After you complete your application, request that your final official high school transcript showing your graduation date (if you have less than 24 hours of college credit) and official transcripts of any college coursework from any college you attended be sent directly to the Office of Admissions via electronic exchange or direct mail.
If you have less than 24 completed credits at the time of your application, have your ACT or SAT scores sent to the Office of Admissions.
Your application will be evaluated once all official transcripts are received. If you are applying for a future term, your application will be evaluated once we have your grades through the same term of the prior year (if you’re applying for the fall term, we will need your final grades from the fall term of the previous academic year).
When to Apply
The application deadline for transfer students depends on which term (Fall, Spring or Summer) you want to begin taking classes at Mizzou. Look for transfer-specific application and scholarship deadlines on our dates and deadlines page.

Maximizing Aid
Be sure to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually, regardless of your family’s financial situation. The FAFSA form usually becomes available in the fall of each year, and we’ll remind you to submit it once you’ve applied to Mizzou. Complete the FAFSA each year to maximize your financial aid offer.
