Course Equivalency & Credits


Mizzou accepts the following types of course credit from international students:

We do not charge a fee to post credit on your transcript earned through AP, IB, CLEP or GAC exams.

ACT Global Assessment Certificate (GAC) Credit

If you completed all three levels of the GAC program, Mizzou will provide up to 29 hours of credit. Credit may be applied to the following courses with a grade of B or higher.

The international course equivalency site helps determine whether courses you have already taken will transfer to Mizzou.

Chinese & Taiwanese Summer Programs

The University of Missouri will not award transfer credit for English-language based summer programs from China, Taiwan or Korea. If you have questions about a program of this type, please contact the MU Office of International Admissions at or visit us at 230 Jesse Hall.
