Course Equivalency & Credits

Freshmen

Mizzou accepts the following types of course credit from international students:

We do not charge a fee to post credit on your transcript earned through AP, IB, CLEP or GAC exams.

Detailed information on most of these credits may be found on our college credits page. Information on GAC credit may be found below.

ACT Global Assessment Certificate (GAC) Credit

If you completed all three levels of the GAC program, Mizzou will provide up to 29 hours of credit. Credit may be applied to the following courses with a grade of B or higher.

This information is subject to change, so make sure you confirm that your courses will transfer with the school or college you plan to enroll in.

Chinese & Taiwanese Summer Programs

The University of Missouri will not award transfer credit for English-language based summer programs from China, Taiwan or Korea. If you have questions about a program of this type, please contact the MU Office of International Admissions at inter@missouri.edu or visit us at 230 Jesse Hall.
