Military veterans are eligible to earn college credit through credit awards and credit transfers. For more information, contact the MU Veterans Center.
Credit Awards
As a veteran, you can be awarded credit for your military service. To be eligible, you must submit a copy of your DD214 to the Office of Admissions. The amount of credit you are awarded is determined by the following table:

Credit Transfers
If you spent at least two years in active duty service, you may transfer certain military course credit to Mizzou. To be eligible, you must submit your JST transcript to the Office of Admissions.
Your coursework must be approved by the:
- American Council of Education (ACE)
- academic department at Mizzou you plan to enroll in
In addition to coursework and electives within your program, you may transfer a maximum of nine credit hours towards general electives.
