Information for International Students
Welcome to the Heart of America
At the University of Missouri — nicknamed Mizzou and pronounced muh-Zoo — you’ll get a world-class education in the heart of the United States. Last year, students from more than 110 countries came to study at Mizzou, as did nearly 600 international scholars who worked as educators and researchers. Mizzou is classified with American universities that offer the most educational opportunities and the highest level of instruction. It is one of only 35 public U.S. institutions in the Association of American Universities. AAU members are top-tier schools with outstanding teaching and research endeavors.
