Information for International Students

Welcome to the Heart of America

At the University of Missouri — nicknamed Mizzou and pronounced muh-Zoo — you’ll get a world-class education in the heart of the United States. Last year, students from 112 countries came to study at Mizzou, as did 800 international scholars who worked as educators and researchers. Mizzou is classified with American universities that offer the most educational opportunities and the highest level of instruction. It is one of only 34 public U.S. institutions in the Association of American Universities. AAU members are top-tier schools with outstanding teaching and research endeavors.

Apply to Mizzou

If you are ready to apply to the University of Missouri, first review the application materials you will need to submit.

There are no application deadlines, but we recommend you apply at least six months to a year in advance of the semester you wish to enroll. This allows sufficient time for our admissions evaluators to review your application.
