Application Materials
To apply, you must:
- complete the online application
- pay the $65 application fee
- submit the following documents:
- Academic transcripts
- English proficiency exam scores
- SAT/ACT scores (not required for admission consideration but necessary for scholarship consideration)
Post-admission, you must submit the following immigration documentation:
- Proof of financial support
- Scanned copy of your passport
- Transfer authorization (for F-1 and J-1 transfer students only)

Once you submit your application and application fee, you will receive an email with information on how to submit the required documents to our office.

APPLICATION FEE
A $65 application fee is required for you to submit your application. You will have to provide your credit card or United States bank account information as part of the application.
ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPTS
You must submit transcripts from every school or college you have attended, including:
- transcripts from every high school attended (grades nine through 12)
- transcripts from all colleges/universities attended
If your transcripts are in a language other than English, you must submit:
- the original transcripts
- their English translation
U.S. High School Students
If you attend a U.S. high school, you must submit every transcript from each high school you attended (grades nine through 12), including:
- U.S. high school transcripts
- transcripts from any high schools you attended in your home country
- the original transcripts
- their English translation
We do not accept grades from your home country that have been transferred to or adjusted by your U.S. high school. This is why you must include the transcripts from your home country.
English Proficiency Exam Scores
To establish your English proficiency, please submit one of the recognized exam scores we accept. The English Language Requirements page lists minimum score requirements for each school/college at Mizzou as well as other ways to fulfill this condition.
An official Duolingo English Test, TOEFL or IELTS score report must be sent directly to Mizzou.
TOEFL scores can be requested from the Educational Testing Service. Our institution code is 006875.

SAT/ACT SCORES
You do not need to send your ACT/SAT scores in order to gain admission into Mizzou. However, you must send your ACT/SAT scores for:
- scholarship consideration
- direct admission to the College of Engineering or the Missouri School of Journalism
Check with the academic program you intend to apply to for more information about ACT/SAT scores. Applicants for the College of Engineering are strongly encouraged to submit SAT scores.
If you plan to send your ACT/SAT scores, use our institution codes:
- College Board (SAT) code: 006875
- ACT code: 2382
PROOF OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT
You will have to prove you can cover the estimated undergraduate expenses for a full year. This financial support can come from:
- yourself
- a family member or friend
- a government sponsorship
- scholarships
If you are sponsored by a family member or friend, you will need to complete and submit an Affidavit of Support.
You cannot get the necessary immigration documents without proving you can cover the estimated expenses.

TRANSFER AUTHORIZATION
If you are an F-1 or J-1 student looking to transfer into Mizzou, you must submit a Transfer In Recommendation.
There are two sections of this form:
- The first section must be completed by you.
- The second section must be completed by your international adviser.
Your adviser must email the following documents to the International Center:
- completed transfer in recommendation
- copy of your current:
- I-20 OR
- DS-2019
