There are several types of financial aid that can help you reduce the overall cost of attending Mizzou. In fact, four out of five Mizzou students receive some form of financial aid through:
- Scholarships: A scholarship is a financial award intended to help cover the cost of education. Eligibility is established by the donor of the scholarship. Scholarships don’t have to be repaid. Learn more about scholarships.
- Grants: A financial aid grant is money awarded by the federal government, state governments, schools and private institutions to help students pay for education expenses. Most grants require you to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Grants don’t need to be repaid. Learn more about grants.
- Loans: An education loan is a form of financial aid that must be repaid with interest. Eligibility is usually based on financial need. Most federal loans require you to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Limits are set on how much financial assistance students can receive in the form of federal student loans.
