Costs and Aid
College is an investment in you. Our Office of Student Financial Aid is here to help you navigate your options to pay for college and support you as you explore available resources.
Maximize your financial aid
Apply to Mizzou
When you apply for admission to Mizzou, you’ll qualify for automatic scholarships and receive your myZou login information by email a few days after you apply.
Apply for general and departmental scholarships
To be considered for general and departmental scholarships from Mizzou, log into ScholarshipUniverse to answer a series of matching questions. Then complete the individual applications for even more scholarships – both internal and external.
You’ll access ScholarshipUniverse via your Application Status Page after you submit the application for admission. Apply to Mizzou by Nov. 15 to meet the scholarship priority deadline of Dec. 1.
Submit your FAFSA
Submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by Jan. 1 for priority consideration.
To help reduce the overall cost of attending Mizzou, many out-of-state students become Missouri residents to receive in-state tuition. Gaining residency is straightforward, and staff help students through the process.
