Transfer Student Involvement
We encourage you to engage in student organizations and activities so you have a greater sense of belonging and connection on campus. There are more than 600 student organizations, leadership and service opportunities, athletics and various other ways to plug in and meet other students. Check out a few of your options:
Tau Sigma is an academic honor society designed to recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students. To be eligible for membership, you must transfer to Mizzou with at least 24 credit hours, enroll as a full-time student and achieve either a 3.5 GPA or rank in the top 20 percent of all new transfer students at the conclusion of your first term at Mizzou.
Join our TEAM — Transfer Experience and Advising Mentors — designed to help transfer students find their place at Mizzou. TEAM combines a 10-week program with one-on-one mentoring, weekly group meetings, social events and service projects throughout the semester.
The Honors College offers classes taught by top professors, opportunities for independent study and paid research opportunities. To be eligible, you must have at least 12 credit hours of college coursework with a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or higher (Other students will be considered on an individual basis).
Involvement Ambassadors are a group of experienced undergraduate students who are available for one-on-one consultations and group presentations that help connect fellow students to resources and encourage involvement on Mizzou’s campus.
