Housing & Dining

On-Campus Living

Students often tell us they chose Mizzou because “it just felt right” the moment they stepped on campus. Mizzou requires freshmen to live in university housing — research shows students who do so are more likely to stay in school and graduate in four years. This way you get to build amazing friendships, discover awesome study groups and become an active part of the community you live in.

Neighborhoods

Mizzou is home to four different neighborhoods: College Crossing, Truman Central, Southwest Village and Park View. Each neighborhood offers easy access to dining options and resources to maximize your Mizzou experience. Residential Life also offers apartment-living options for undergraduate students with the same quality programs and live-in-staff support that students enjoy in our residence halls.

Housing Process

At Mizzou, you’ll find endless opportunities to find your niche and thrive on campus. That begins with our housing process. You’ll fill in your preferences about how you’d like to live on campus, answering questions about your interests and what you’re looking for in a room.

Campus Dining

You won’t be lacking for culinary options on campus. Mizzou Campus Dining Services operates more than 20 locations, including all-you-care-to-eat dining halls, take-out locations and coffee shops. No matter if you’re craving sushi, salad, burgers or a burrito, you’re sure to find just what you’re craving.

Learning Communities

Learning Communities (LCs) and Freshman Interest Groups (FIGs) group together students with similar interests or academic paths to enhance your learning experience, so it’s important to choose the right one for you. You have best friends you haven’t met yet waiting for you.

CoMo

Columbia, Missouri — or CoMo for short — is ranked one of America’s best college towns, with tons of fun and exciting things to do. Enjoy an outdoor concert downtown, meander through our many hip boutiques, or grab a bite on a sunny restaurant patio. There are tons of film, art and music festivals throughout the year, and, of course, the town is a black-and-gold spectacle on Mizzou game days.
