International Student Costs and Scholarships

Mizzou offers scholarships for international students that you will be automatically considered for when you apply. Scholarships are education funds that don’t have to be repaid. Use the tables below to learn more about scholarships (also referred to as “awards”) and the estimated costs of attending Mizzou.

Test-Optional Consideration

Students who choose to apply to the Fall 2023 semester without SAT or ACT scores can be considered for either the International Merit or International Honors scholarships mentioned above. Students need to apply and be admitted prior to March 1, 2023 in order to submit the required supplemental documents for this review.

Competitive Awards & Departmental Scholarships

Competitive scholarships are also available to International Students based on academic eligibility. Academically gifted students of all nationalities can apply to the Stamps Scholars Program. You can apply for general and departmental scholarships using ScholarshipUniverse after you have been admitted to Mizzou.

Estimated Cost of Attendance for International Undergraduate Students

The chart below provides an estimated total cost of attendance at Mizzou. The tuition estimate is based on an average of 12 undergraduate credit hours. If you take more than 12 hours during a semester, your tuition cost will increase accordingly. These figures are subject to change without notice.

Note: Many international students do not enroll for the summer term. Therefore, housing, food and personal expenses are included for summer estimated costs, and tuition, fees, books and supplies are excluded from summer cost estimate.

The following programs have additional fees: engineering; journalism; health professions; applied music; business; education; clinical nursing; and agriculture, food and natural resources.

Students are charged a one-time enrollment fee of U.S. $300.

International students are permitted to work up to 20 hours per week on campus during the fall and spring academic terms.
