Why did you come to Mizzou?
I took a campus tour in high school and fell in love! The campus was beautiful and everyone (students and admissions reps) were so friendly and helpful! I also liked the big school feel, the large variety of majors, the fact that it was a top research institution and the numerous student activities to get involved in.
When I attended Mizzou, my favorite class was / I was involved in:
My favorite class was Organic Chemistry lab. One of my favorite lab projects was to make the scent wintergreen in a test tube. The entire lab smelled like wintergreen for a week! When I attended Mizzou, I was involved in so many things it would make your head spin! But one of my activities was United Ambassadors Minority Student Recruitment Team, which I had the opportunity to be co-chair of and ultimately helped me realize I would enjoy working in Admissions for MU!
What question are you asked most often?
“How did you decide to come to a school six hours from home?!”
What question do you wish students would ask?
I wish they would ask more about student activities. Sometimes I think students think we're joking when we say there's something for everyone here!
What compelled you to stay and work at Mizzou after graduation?
I love the campus and the overall college atmosphere Mizzou and Columbia provide. I also wanted to give back to the University and encourage students to attend Mizzou! |
