Why did you come to Mizzou?
I visited the campus a lot in high school and liked the atmosphere. It felt comfortable and homey.
When I attended Mizzou, my favorite class was / I was involved in:
My favorite class was Intro to Advertising. The class gave me an opportunity to really think about the “science” of advertising.
I was a busy student (a little too involved). As an undergrad, I was a member of ADAPT (Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team), joined a fraternity, on staff with residential life, a member and president of the Legion of Black Collegians and a Summer Welcome Leader. I also worked on campus during my entire undergrad career.
What question are you asked most often?
I'm asked how “good” certain programs are or how certain programs rank. I also get a lot of questions about costs and size.
What question do you wish students would ask?
I think students forget to ask about admissions requirements and what classes they have to take to apply. If you know this ahead of time, it makes things easier when you're applying.
What compelled you to stay and work at Mizzou after graduation?
I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I like Columbia and Mizzou. It's easy to have a job where I get to talk about the school I love. It also gives me a chance to talk to students in the district from where I come. |
