Why did you come to Mizzou?
I wanted to go to a big school where I would have lots of options and be able to meet different people from different places. I visited the campus, which was beautiful, and everyone I met was so nice. The campus and Columbia in general just felt very welcoming and seemed like a good place to call home for a while.
When I attended Mizzou, my favorite class was / I was involved in:
My favorite classes were psychology, black psychology, social psychology and social inequalities. I loved studying people and society, and how we all influence and react to each other. Also, the professors in those classes were excellent and that helped make them very enjoyable. I also was involved with Campus Crusade and several organizations in the College of Education.
What question are you asked most often?
I'm asked a lot of questions about our journalism program. Since I work in Texas, I also get asked what the weather is like in Missouri.
What compelled you to stay and work at Mizzou after graduation?
I had an awesome experience here as a student. Now I love seeing how the University is changing and improving for the students. We’re continuously adding more buildings and programs, and more students from diverse backgrounds. It was a great place for my education and now I enjoy helping students further their education at an excellent university. I like how the student government is really good at helping to implement change based on what the students want and need. |
