Degree and graduation year: hotel and restaurant management with an emphasis in event planning ’05
Why did you come to Mizzou?
Coming to Mizzou was an easy choice — both of my parents went here, and many students from my high school did, as well.
When I attended Mizzou, my favorite class was / I was involved in:
My favorite class was definitely HRM 4235: Commercial Food Production Management. Our class put on a full-service restaurant each Tuesday night. We picked the menus, theme and décor, and took turns working in both the front and back of the house. Though my emphasis was event planning, this class gave me the most “real world” experience that I could take with me after I graduated.
What question are you asked most often?
What if my high school doesn’t rank? If your high school doesn’t rank, we’ll calculate a core GPA from the core classes required for admission. We will use the core GPA for determining admission, as well as eligibility for scholarships.
What was the strangest experience or question you had as an admissions representative?
I wish that they would ask what my major was like, because it is a lesser known major that many people would enjoy if they knew more about it.
What compelled you to stay and work at Mizzou after graduation?
After working in the hospitality industry for about a year and a half, I recently moved back to Columbia. I really missed this great town and the people in it! |
