- Obtain the International Student Application. You must apply at least six months to one year in advance of the semester you wish to enroll. If you are admitted, the International Student Center (N52 Memorial Union) will send you the appropriate form (I-20 or IAP-66), along with detailed information explaining visa application procedures. The U.S. Consulate where you apply for your visa will inform you if any immunizations are necessary. You can apply online, you can download an application, or you can request a conventional application.
