Do I need to apply as a transfer or international student?
If you have or will need a student visa, then you are considered an international student and you should use the international student application form. More

What is the deadline for the application?
MU recommends that international students apply at least six to nine months before the semester they wish to enter. If you are not able to attend the semester for which you have been admitted, your application will be deferred to the next semester. The application fee is good for three consecutive semesters.

Can I check the status of my application online?
International students can check the status of their applications with the international admissions evaluator. More

When will the admissions decisions be made?
Admission decisions are made shortly after the International Admissions office receives a complete academic packet including all the required documents. The International Center issues immigration documents.

What is the minimum score I can get on the TOEFL?
We expect international students to know English well enough to comprehend oral lecture, read textbooks, participate in class and write effectively in English. More on English Language Ability and TOEFL scores …

What is a conditional admission?
If the International Admissions office determines that you are academically eligible, they will send you a conditional letter of admission. This letter states that you have met the academic requirements to enter MU, but your admission cannot be completed until our office receives the rest of the required documents.

Can I apply to MU after I complete the IEP (Intensive English Program)?
Yes. You will need to fill out the International Student Application form and submit all academic records and original financial documents. The MU application fee is waived for current IEP students. More about the IEP

Do you need my college transcript?
Yes. You should have your college mail an official copy of your transcript directly to the International Admission office. More

I received the apartment housing application. Am I admitted?
As soon as a graduate student or student over 21 applies to MU, the apartment housing application is sent to the student’s home address. This does not mean the student has been admitted. Please fill out the application and return it to the Residential Life office if you want to live on campus.

What are financial documents?
Financial documents are the sponsor’s official, original bank statement on bank letterhead and an Affidavit of Support form filled out and signed by the sponsor. More

What is ELSP? Do I need to take it?
All new degree-seeking international undergraduate students are required to take the MU English Language Support Program examination before they register for classes. More
