This substitution will be accepted for admission to any college within the University. Test Scores Take the ACT or SAT I in the spring of your junior year and fall of your senior semester. The Office of Admissions considers your highest composite score (or the combined Math and Critical Reading score from the SAT I) for admission and scholarship qualification. The writing sections of the ACT or the SAT will not affect your admission. The composite or the combined score is used for admission and scholarship purposes; sub-scores are used primarily for English and math placement. To qualify for admission, the combination of your high school rank and test score must meet or exceed the values in the table below. We accept class rank and test score data from your sixth, seventh or eighth semester of high school. If you attend a high school which does not rank its students, your admission will not be negatively affected: Students from non-ranking high schools are admitted based on academic achievement and ACT or SAT scores. If your ACT composite score is 24 or higher, or the total of your SAT critical reading and math scores is 1090 or higher, and you have completed the required curriculum, then you meet the requirements for admission to Mizzou. If your ACT composite score is 17 to 23, or the total of your SAT critical reading and math scores is 800 to 1080, then you must meet the following high school class rank to be admitted to Mizzou: | ACT | SAT | HS Class | | | (CR–M) | % Rank | | 23 | 1050–1080 | 48 | | 22 | 1010–1040 | 54 | | 21 | 970–1000 | 62 | | 20 | 930–960 | 69 | | 19 | 890–920 | 78 | | 18 | 840–880 | 86 | | 17 | 800–830 | 94 | Admission to the Honors College You’re eligible for admission to the Honors College if you graduate in the top 10 percent of your class and score 29 or higher on the ACT. Students from non-ranking high schools will be eligible with a 3.71 GPA in core classes and a 29 or higher on the ACT. Other students will be considered on an individual basis. All interested students must apply for admission. Applications are available at 211 Lowry Hall, Columbia, MO, 65211 or online. Trial Admission Program If you apply and are denied admission, and you are graduating this year from a Missouri high school, you may be eligible for Mizzou’s Trial Admission Program. Students who do not meet the criteria for regular freshman admission can take six college credit hours, including an English and a math course, during the summer session. Students who earn grades of C or better in both courses can enroll on academic probation for the fall semester. Courses taken as dual credit while in high school may not be used to meet this requirement. If you think you might be eligible for this program, you must first apply for admission.
