Five programs allow students to gain credit by examination: Earned credit is available only to students with fewer than 90 semester hours of college credit. No grades or honor points are recorded for these credits unless credits come from a University of Missouri system school. Foreign language credit will be awarded in the amounts stated, provided the examination subject is not the student’s native language. We do post the grades for 1-8-1-8 courses. Although they are not calculated in the Mizzou grade point averages, the deans’ offices may use them. To ascertain the applicability of credits you’ve earned by examination, consult with the dean¿s office of the Mizzou school or college in which you plan to enroll. Mizzou does not charge a fee to post credit received through credit-by-exam programs.
