Important Dates
December 1: If you're applying for Mizzou scholarships, your admissions application and scholarship application are due today.
After December 1: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid for the following school year becomes available. The FAFSA cannot be submitted before Jan. 1.
March 1: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is due for priority consideration.
After April 1: Eligible students receive award letters for financial aid.
May 1: Last day to submit an admissions application for the following fall. If you wait until this date, limited financial aid is available.

VA Tutorial Assistance

VA tutorial assistance is available to students who are receiving education benefits under Chapter 30, 35 or 1606, and who are enrolled at least half time. A maximum amount of $100 per month is available.

To apply for tutorial assistance do the following:

  1. Complete VA form 22-1990t (PDF).
  2. Select a tutor who is not a relative.
  3. Provide proof that the tutor is qualified. (Such as a letter of recommendation from a professor.)
  4. Return all paperwork to the Veterans Services Office, 230 Jesse Hall, Columbia, MO 65211 for processing.
