College of Veterinary Medicine

At Mizzou, veterinary students learn a proactive, preventative, health-centered approach to animal care. They observe and participate in the treatment of real problems in real patients at our state-of-the-art teaching hospital, located in Clydesdale Hall.

They also participate in research that advances our understanding of diseases that affect animals as well as people. In fact, Mizzou’s veterinary and medical researchers work together in creating treatments to benefit both humans and animals.

The college does not offer undergraduate degrees, but ambitious undergraduates can apply for a spot in the Pre-Veterinary Medicine and AgScholars Programs, which guarantees acceptance to the College to qualified high school seniors who attend Mizzou for their pre-veterinary courses.

You may choose to live in the Pre-Veterinary Studies FIG.
