In fact, this is Missouri’s only state-supported school of health professions with an academic health center on campus! You’ll gain clinical experiences working directly with patients, using the latest technology and learning from faculty, many of whom are nationally recognized scientists working in such areas as exercise, aging, rehabilitation, communication disorders and more. Lab and Clinical Experience
The school is also involved in the well-being of the community in Columbia and throughout the state through services using special learning equipment and laboratories, including:
- The Speech and Hearing Clinic, with diagnostic and therapy facilities and a language preschool
- The Health Connection, a comprehensive health and fitness center
- The pulmonary research and exercise laboratory
- Student laboratory facilities for each individual department
- Adult Day Connection, where you can volunteer in an adult day-care program
- The Robert G. Combs Language Preschool
- Missouri Mobile Health
