Teachers shape the world, and well-prepared teachers are in greater demand than ever before. During the past five years, 92 percent of Mizzou education students who registered with the college’s career services found positions in the classroom. On average, Mizzou students score in the top 20 percent on the National Teacher Examination Specialty Area Test.

Mizzou’s exciting Teacher Development Program gets you into real classrooms much sooner than is the case in traditional programs. You also create a portfolio to showcase your talent, while receiving critical support from your professors.

And before hitting the professional world, many new teachers benefit from Mizzou’s Teaching Fellowship Program, a nationally known program for first-year teachers that includes graduate course work, mentoring by a veteran teacher and advising by a Mizzou education faculty member.
