Nursing students simulating patient care in hospital room

Academics
Sinclair School of Nursing

It’s not just a school of nursing — it’s a center for discovery. It’s not just a lab — it’s a classroom where skills can be perfected with confidence. As a student, you’ll perfect techniques in our state-of-the-art skills lab and work with the latest high-tech equipment.

By using the latest computerized training mannequins, you will fine-tune your nursing skills; and our computer simulated training stations will develop your confidence for inserting IVs. We also have mentoring programs so undergraduate students can work closely with world-class researchers in areas such as animal-human bonding, cancer-related side effects, wound healing and microcirculation.

The school has two exciting interdisciplinary projects that involve an array of students across campus. With our primary focus in gerontology, the school has developed Senior Care, a home health agency that helps older adults remain independent and in their homes throughout Mid-Missouri; and TigerPlace, a residential community that is changing the way people think about long-term health care for seniors.

Degrees
The school offers several options leading to a bachelor’s degree:

You may choose to live in the Nursing Residence, located just 200 yards away from the school. Another option is the nursing Freshman Interest Group.
