Favorite class: Organizational Behavior, because it teaches skills everyone needs, not just business students.
Area of research: Aggression in the workplace
Advice for a new student: Students should treat their academics like it’s their job — be organized and prepared for every class so you can successful when you graduate from Mizzou. She says it is her job to make sure they have access to the resources they need to grow and develop in the process.
Her passions: This! If she won the lotto, she would still be doing exactly what she is doing now.
Why she loves to teach: Getting to know the students — every student has a story and something they are working toward, and she says it's the professors’ responsibility to recognize and understand that and help them find their true passions.
Why she teaches at Mizzou: First of all, she is a three-time alumna of Mizzou. Her 3-year-old already knows the fight song! But she also knows what the value of an education can do for someone, and it's a joy to see her students go through that process.
The coolest part of the College of Business: The college focuses on preparing students to be professionals with events like business etiquette dinners, internships, mentoring programs, mock interviews, and study abroad, to name a few, that help students excel outside of the classroom.
What Mizzou students are like: Good people; honest; hard working; goal oriented; good values — want to do the right thing and give back to the community in terms of service hours.
