#5 It feels like home.
Mizzou was not one of my original choices for college, but during my sister’s time here as an undergraduate she convinced me to come for a visit. Once here, I fell in love with the campus because it just had that “college feel.” I knew I was home.

When I came down for Summer Welcome, I was still not sure where I wanted to go to college. It was scary coming down knowing only one girl from home.  But it was that positive, welcoming atmosphere, where I met my best friend, that reaffirmed this was where I wanted to be.

Right from the start, I knew I wanted to be more involved in college than I was in high school.  I was worried that the transition from high school was going to be difficult, but Mizzou made it so easy to fit right in.  After just a few short weeks, I was already active in many areas of campus life, all of which helped to make the transition that much easier.

Mizzou has a very friendly campus and it’s hard to feel intimidated here. Professors are very approachable, and if you need one-on-one attention from them, it’s easy to get.  As large as this school is, it still feels small, and that’s a feeling I love.  It’s so easy to settle in, make it home, and accomplish everything you know that you can.
