| #12 The interaction with faculty. |
Part of the reason I enjoy Mizzou is because of the faculty. I have not yet had a teacher that I haven't had a good experience with. I feel really comfortable with the faculty who teach in the music program. Within the School of Music, there are a lot of close relationships between the faculty members and students. I'm a piano performance major, and most of my interaction is with my studio teacher, but I've also had lots of chances to connect with other faculty members. This has made my education more worthwhile. Through the University, I've gotten many different opportunities in the field of music. I've had small jobs playing piano that I've found through the School of Music. I really enjoy the atmosphere of Columbia, too. It has diversity and culture that makes me feel more connected to the community at large. — Jimmy, music (piano) ’09, Springfield, Mo. |
